The Rock Island Arsenal Education Center services all active duty enlisted personnel, offering 146 degree and certification programs from 29 different educational institutions. Web-based courses allow soldiers to study at times that are most convenient for them.
During off-duty hours, servicemembers have plenty of programs and activities to recharge, including a fitness center, auto skills courses, outdoor recreation rentals, golf, a museum, vacation club, barber shop, thrift shop, and food court. Rock Island Arsenal's proximity to Davenport offers points of interest like the Davenport Public Library, the Davenport Skybridge, Figge Art Museum, River Music Experience, Putnam Museum and IMAX Theater, and Modern Woodmen Park.
