Schools in Kansas Near Fort Riley
Fort Riley is located in northeastern Kansas, one hour west of Topeka. Surrounded by farmland, this base is home to the 1st Brigade, the 1st infantry Division, the 3rd Brigade, the 1st Armor Division, and the 937th Engineer Corps. There are 45,500 residents at Fort Riley, comprised of active duty personnel, family members, retirees, and civilian employees. The base has its own child care facilities, schools, teen center, hospital, banks, and shopping exchange.
In addition to Continuing Education classes at Fort Riley, colleges offering degree programs in Topeka include Kansas State University, Washburn University, and Washburn Institute of Technology. Topeka has many unique attractions, including:
