Schools in Louisiana Near Fort Polk
Fork Polk and the Joint Readiness Training Center are in west-central Louisiana, 45 miles from Alexandria. While 8,000 to 9,000 people reside on base, there are over 100,000 civilian employees, military retirees, reserve members, and rotation training troops also supported by Fort Polk. To meet the needs of its population, the base offers:
