Battle Hymn of the Engineers
(Sung to the tune of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”)
We are, we are, we are, we are, we are the engineers,
We can, we can, we can, we can, demolish forty beers,
Drink up, drink up, drink up, drink up and come along with us,
Cause we don’t give damn about any ol’ man who don’t give a damn about
us!
My father was a miner in the Alaskan Malamute,
My mother was hostess in a house of ill repute,
One day we had fight and they kicked me out the house,
And thats the day I joined the Army Corps of Engineers!
We are, we are, we are, we are, we are the engineers,
We can, we can, we can, we can, demolish forty beers,
Drink up, drink up, drink up, drink up and come along with us,
Cause we don’t give damn about any ol’ man who don’t give a damn about
us!
The tanker told the engineer that he couldn’t drink,
The engineer pointed to can and said “Tell me what you think”
The tanker took a swig of it and started turning green,
The engineer slugged it down and said “Its only gasoline!”
We are, we are, we are, we are, we are the engineers,
We can, we can, we can, we can, demolish forty beers,
Drink up, drink up, drink up, drink up and come along with us,
Cause we don’t give damn about any ol’ man who don’t give a damn about
us!
